How to wipe over the head when it has henna on it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: O Shaykh! If I put henna on my head, does it prevent the water of wudu' from reaching the scalp, and is it sufficient for me to just wipe over it during wudu'?

Answer:
The correct view is that it is sufficient if there are patches of henna or the like on the head; one wipes over them, and that is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. As Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported, Aisha informed them that they used to put patches on their heads and wipe over them, and praise be to Allah.
