Ruling on breaking the fast in making up missed fasts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
She has another question. She says: I have a missed fast from Ramadan to make up. One day I intended to fast, but I did not complete it because I felt hungry, so I broke my fast with the intention of fasting the next day. However, my colleagues told me a lot and described what I did as forbidden. The truth is that I did not know that, especially since it was not in Ramadan, and I thought there was leeway in the matter. What is required of me?

Answer:
Yes, what your sisters told you is correct. It is not permissible for you to break the fast due to feeling hungry. Rather, you must be patient until the sun sets, because making up Ramadan is an individual obligation, and it is not permissible to be lenient in it.
If a person becomes hungry or thirsty while fasting for an obligatory fast, he should be patient and endure until he completes it, unless he fears death or severe illness, in which case he knows that this constitutes an excuse for him to break his fast. Then he should abstain from food and drink, take what removes the danger, and then abstain until sunset. As for mere hunger or mere thirst that does not involve danger, this does not justify breaking the fast in an obligatory fast, whether in Ramadan, in making up missed fasts from Ramadan, in vows of fasting, or in expiations. Rather, it is obligatory to abstain and be patient until the sun sets. You must repent to Allah, seek His forgiveness, and make up the day.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
