Question:
This is a questioner for the program "Al-Haqqiyyah." The questioner did not write his name in this message. He says: It is reported in a hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that men will come on the Day of Resurrection with deeds like mountains, and Allah will make them scattered dust because they did not fear Allah in secret. Does this apply to one who violated the sanctities of Allah in secret and then repented? Please inform us of this.
Answer:
These are the deeds of the polytheists. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: [Al-Furqan: 23]. And He the Exalted said: [Al-An'am: 88]. And He the Exalted said: [Al-Ma'idah: 5]. These are the deeds of the disbelievers. Whoever comes on the Day of Resurrection as a polytheist, having not repented before death, his deeds will be cut off and become scattered dust.
As for the people of sins, they are in danger, but they are not included in this verse, which is His saying (Exalted and Majestic is He): [Al-Furqan: 23]. The sinner is in danger, and Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said regarding him: [Al-Nisa': 48]. So he is under the will of Allah. If Allah wills, He will pardon him and admit him to Paradise because of his tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and his obedience. And if He wills, He will punish him for some of the sins he died upon without repenting. As for those whose deeds will be scattered dust, they are the disbelievers in Allah (may Allah grant us safety). Yes.

These are the deeds of the polytheists. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said:
And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.
وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًاBut if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.
وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُوا لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَAnd whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالإِيمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ وَهُوَ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَAs for the people of sins, they are in danger, but they are not included in this verse, which is His saying (Exalted and Majestic is He):

وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُThe presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
