Do the deeds of one who apostatizes and then repents become invalid?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
(The apostate) after repentance, are his deeds restored to him?

Answer:
Just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
You accepted Islam with all the previous virtues that you practised.
Sahih Muslim 123a
.
Deeds do not become invalid except by dying in a state of disbelief; for Allah said:
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers
[al-Baqarah:161], one must die in a state of disbelief.
And deeds remain if one embraces Islam and Allah guides him. So, the one who died in a state of apostasy, all of his deeds became invalid. We ask Allah for safety:
And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.
[al-Furqan:23].
