Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner, whose name is symbolized by (A. A. A), asks: What is the ruling on wearing the khimar for the Muslim woman, and was it known in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Answer:
The khimar is prescribed among women and among mahrams, and it is obligatory if a non-mahram can see her. She must wear the khimar to cover her head and her face. It was known in the era of the Companions, in the era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and after him. Allah the Exalted said:
to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chestsوَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ
[Surat al-Nur: 31].
The khimar is what is placed on the head, and with which the face, the head, and the front of the body are covered. It may be long, covering the entire body along with the head. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
