Is it permissible to pray behind someone who recites qunut in the Fajr prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We move on to a message received from Yemen. The questioner, Abd al-Fattah, says in this question: We have an imam of a mosque who recites qunut in the Fajr prayer. We spoke to him about it, but he was stubborn and took the opinion of al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him). We did not recite qunut with him. Should we recite qunut with him, or should we remain as we are, or should we move to another mosque? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in reciting qunut with him and praying with him, because he has a doubt based on the opinion of some scholars, so there is no harm. If it is easy to pray in another mosque, that is better if he does not recite qunut. Otherwise, there is no harm in the one who recites qunut by adhering to the school of al-Shafi'i or Malik, because he is ignorant and taqlid (following a scholar without knowing his evidence) has prevailed over many people. So if you pray with him, there is no harm, if Allah wills. And if he leaves it, that is ... better for him, that he leaves the qunut, except if an incident happens to the Muslims, an enemy who gains power over the Muslims, then he recites qunut in Fajr or in other prayers and supplicates against him. As for the ordinary qunut in witr, the fact that he does it in Fajr:
O Allah, guide us among those You have guidedاللهم اهدنا فيمن هديت
Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:117
, the correct view is that it is prescribed to leave it. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah bless you.
