Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: ... Ayman Muhammad, from the Republic of Egypt, Damietta, has this question: Did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite the qunut in the Fajr prayer, in the last rak'ah, after bowing, raising his hands and saying:
O Allah, guide us among those You have guidedاللهم اهدنا فيمن هديت
Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:117
every night until he passed away? And what is the meaning of the qunut supplication:
O Allah, guide us among those You have guided, and grant us well-being among those You have granted well-being?اللهم اهدنا فيمن هديت، وعافنا فيمن عافيت؟
Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:117
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is not established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to recite the qunut in the Fajr prayer, neither with the words
O Allah, guide us among those You have guidedاللهم اهدنا فيمن هديت
Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:117
nor with any other words. He only used to recite the qunut in times of calamity, when a calamity befell the Muslims, such as the unleashing of an enemy or the like; he would recite the qunut, supplicating against the enemy in the Fajr prayer and in other prayers.
As for what some people have made a habit of, reciting the qunut constantly in the Fajr prayer:
O Allah, guide usاللهم اهدنا
this is contrary to what is prescribed, and it should be abandoned; because the hadiths regarding this are weak. What is prescribed is the qunut in times of calamity, when there is aggression by disbelieving enemies against the Muslims. The Muslims would recite the qunut, supplicating against them in the Fajr, Maghrib, 'Isha', Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers, but the Fajr prayer was the one in which he recited the qunut most often, supplicating against the polytheists. As for doing it constantly, it has no basis, and the hadiths regarding this are weak. It should be abandoned. Yes.
