The ruling on praying behind one who recites qunut in the Fajr prayer permanently

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One of the listening brothers sent a message saying: The sender is Muhammad Nasr Abd al-Zaghoul. He asks Your Eminence a number of questions, among which is a question that says: I have learned that qunut in the prayer is only for emergencies, and I have believed in that and affirmed it. However, if the congregation recites qunut in the Fajr prayer in the mosque where I pray, am I allowed to differ from them and not recite qunut with them, or should I stay with them? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
There is no harm in staying with them and advising them; because some scholars hold that qunut is prescribed in the Fajr prayer, and some hadiths have been reported regarding this, which some scholars used as evidence, but they are weak. Rather, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) restricted qunut in the Fajr prayer to emergencies, and in the Maghrib and Isha prayers, and in the rest of the prayers, in emergencies. When war breaks out against the Muslims, or evil befalls them, he would invoke Allah against those who oppressed the Muslims and transgressed against them, and he would invoke Allah for the oppressed Muslims to be saved from the captivity of their enemies. As for continuing to recite qunut in the Fajr prayer; this is contrary to the Shari'ah, and the correct view is to leave it. But if you are with people who recite qunut, and some scholars have issued a fatwa for them to do so; then recite qunut with them, and you and your brothers should advise the imam to leave that. This is what is prescribed for you: the advice from you and your brothers, and guiding him to scholars who know that qunut in the Fajr prayer is not prescribed except in emergencies.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
