The Nisab of Zakah on Jewelry

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
السؤال:
A letter from one of the female listeners. The sender, Layla Matr, is also asking about the weight and value of the jewelry for which zakah is due?
Answer:
This was explained in the previous answer. The jewelry for which zakah is due is that which reaches the nisab. If the jewelry reaches eleven pounds and three-sevenths of a pound, meaning eleven and a half pounds, then its zakah is due. If it is less than that, there is no zakah on it. In terms of weight, the amount is ninety-two grams. If the jewelry is less than this, there is no zakah on it. If it is more, then zakah is due on it, calculated as one-quarter of one-tenth: twenty-five for every thousand, two hundred and fifty for ten thousand, five hundred for twenty thousand, one thousand for forty thousand, and so on. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
