Wearing socks on the feet

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 11590 )
Q2: What is the ruling on wearing socks on the feet, and performing the arrival tawaf in Hajj and the tawaf of 'Umrah in 'Umrah while wearing them? Are the socks sewn?

A2: It is not permissible for a man to wear socks while in the state of ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah. If he needs to wear them due to illness or the like, it is permissible, but he must pay an expiation, which is fasting for three days, or feeding six poor people, giving each poor person half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of dates or the like, or slaughtering a sheep. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
