Has one who has not performed Hajj helped others with Hajj or marriage?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I have a sum of money available from my work. Should I help my father with Hajj using it, knowing that I have not performed Hajj for myself, or should I help my brother with marriage using it, knowing that he is unable to provide the funds needed for marriage?

Answer:
All of that is good. Helping the father with Hajj is good, and helping the brother with marriage is good. The right of the father is greater. If the father insists on requesting help, then help is required, and there is much good in it, along with dutifulness to the parent and excellence. If he permits it to be spent on the brother for marriage, that is a great good. And Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
cooperate in righteousness and pietyوَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى
[Al-Ma'idah: 2]. Hajj is part of dutifulness, and marriage is part of dutifulness and mindfulness of Allah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs.من كان في حاجة أخيه كان الله في حاجته
Sahih al-Bukhari 6951
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And Allah is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother.والله في عون العبد ما كان العبد في عون أخيه
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1425Sahih (Darussalam)
So assisting the parent is among the best acts of drawing near to Allah, whether in Hajj or in other matters of good. And assisting the brother with marriage is among the best acts of drawing near to Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
So, in this case, the father?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The presenter: And the fact that he has not performed Hajj for himself has no effect?

The Shaykh: It does not prevent the fact that the one who is helping with money has not performed Hajj; it does no harm. What is prevented is for him to perform Hajj on behalf of another before he performs Hajj for himself. But helping with money is permissible, even if he has not performed Hajj for himself. Yes.
