Do the children of a daughter inherit from their grandfather's estate?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
His final question asks: What is the right of the children of a deceased sister in their maternal grandfather's estate?

Answer:
They do not inherit. The children of a daughter have no inheritance; they are among the dhawi al-rahim (relatives by blood). If a person dies leaving behind 'asabah (residuary male heirs), or sons who are the greatest of the 'asabah, or dies leaving behind those with fixed shares, then the children of a daughter have nothing from the inheritance. However, if it happens that he dies leaving no 'asabah and no one with a fixed share, then the dhawi al-rahim have known rulings regarding their inheritance. But as long as he has an heir from those with fixed shares, other than the spouses, or from the 'asabah, the children of a daughter have nothing from their maternal grandfather. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
