The ruling on supplicating with words not narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Your Eminence, what is the ruling if a person forgets some of the words of the supplication narrated from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? Does that have an effect, or not?

Answer:
It has no effect. He should supplicate with what comes to mind and what he likes, and praise be to Allah. He should supplicate with what he has memorized and with whatever good supplications he likes, even if they are not narrated, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
