Ruling on Reciting the Qur'an with the Intention of Healing Thereby

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
His last question says: I complete the recitation of the Qur'an for the sake of healing, and I blow it over the sick person. Is this permissible, or not?

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with that. Allah has made the Qur'an a healing. So if you recite it, or part of it, over yourself while you are sick, hoping for healing from Allah, or over some of the sick people, there is no blame on you. In fact, there is healing in that. Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "It is, for those who believe, a guidance and cure."قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هُدًى وَشِفَاءٌ
[Surat al-Fussilat: 44]. So the Qur'an contains healing and good. If you recite all of it, or some of the verses, all of that is good, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
