Ruling on the travel of Bedouin people to perform the Friday prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter reached the program from one of the listening brothers, in which he says: I live in the desert, and on Friday I travel to the nearest village, I pray the Friday prayer, and I return to my family at the end of the day. During the journey, the time for the afternoon prayer arrives. Is it better for me to shorten the afternoon prayer to two units, or should I pray it as four?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
You are not required to travel to the village in order to pray the Friday prayer; rather, you must pray it in your location as four units. However, if you do travel, there is no harm in praying the Friday prayer with them. As for praying the afternoon prayer as two units on the road, this requires knowing the distance of the journey. If the distance between your location and the village is considered a distance for shortening the prayer, meaning the distance a mount can cover in a day and night is approximately eighty or seventy-five kilometers, then there is no objection to shortening the prayer on the road. But if the distance is short, such as thirty, forty, or twenty kilometers, you pray it as four units. This is what is called a journey. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
