The Prohibition of Shaving Part of the Head and Leaving Part of It

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter was received by the program from Riyadh, sent by a listener who referred to his name by the letters: (A. B. Z). He asks a number of questions, one of which is: What is the ruling on shaving some of the hair and leaving some? And what is the ruling on slightly thinning the hair? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
As for shaving some and leaving some, this is not permissible. Some scholars have affirmed that it is disliked, but the apparent meaning of the hadith is that it is forbidden; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Shave it all, or leave it allاحلقه كله، أو دعه كله
So one should not shave part of his head and leave part of it. No, either he shaves it all, or he leaves it all. And if he thins it with a clipper, there is nothing wrong with it. If he goes over it all with the clipper and does not shave it, there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
