The Shaykh’s conversation with the students regarding a dispute that occurred in one of the mosques.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If we come, you and us, and Ziyad is among them, and we come tomorrow, you and us, if Allah wills, and we pray after eleven o’clock?

The Shaykh : Yes, but before anything else, the situation in this mosque must be settled according to the Sunnah. After that, it is possible. Now, someone asked me this same question!

The questioner : Hmm.

The Shaykh : I told him, my brother, the original ruling is to combine the prayers, whereas separating them is for specific circumstances that vary from mosque to mosque. He said, for example, like the mosque of 'Umar? I told him, my brother, I do not know the situation at the mosque of 'Umar. I cannot give you an answer about any of the mosques, even the mosque of 'Umar that you are mentioning. I cannot tell you whether it is good or not good, because I do not know the situation. So, I told you what happened in the conversation between me and him.

The questioner : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : Al-'Awashi.

The questioner : I spoke, I asked him.

The Shaykh : And you mentioned to me that it seems you spoke with him about something similar to this.

The questioner : Yes, I will ask them tonight.

The Shaykh : I advise the young men to be calm, to be measured, and not to act on uncontrolled emotions. Now, if this mosque is established on the Sunnah in general, then after that, every incident has its own story. We do not come and surprise the people, and we do not divide the ranks on the basis of an excuse that may be valid, or that may be valid for some mosques.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : I advised him with this; I do not know whether you will respond to him or not.
