Reasons for the Naming of Some Surahs

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister has a question in which she asks: What is the reason for naming Surat al-Baqarah by this name? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The reason for that is the saying of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) in it:
And [recall] when Moses said to his people, "Indeed, Allah commands you to slaughter a cow.وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةً
[al-Baqarah:67] So the discussion of the cow in these verses is the reason for naming Surat al-Baqarah, just as in Surat al-Imran, when the family of Imran was mentioned in al-Imran
Indeed, Allah chose Adam and Noah and the family of Abraham and the family of 'Imran over the worlds -إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَى آدَمَ وَنُوحًا وَآلَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَآلَ عِمْرَانَ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
[al-Imran:33] it was named al-Imran because the family of Imran was mentioned in it.
And so it is with Surat al-Nisa; because the women were mentioned in it. Surat al-Ma'idah; because Allah mentioned in its end the table (Ma'idah) that the disciples requested from Isa, asking him to request the table from Allah. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
