Naming a Child Rakan
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of the fatwa ( 18209 )
Q2: What is the ruling on naming a male child with this name (Rakan)?
A2: There is no harm in naming the newborn (Rakan); because this name does not contain a bad meaning, and the original ruling for what does not contain a bad meaning is permissibility. However, a name that worships Allah is better and more excellent; such as: Abdullah, and Abd al-Rahman. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
