The Shaykh’s tracing of the hadith: (The Messenger of Allah was brought a cup) and its explanation, along with a biography of the narrator.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: The narration of Anas, and he mentions the number and the part, and so on.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh: Yes, I am the one who mentions that this hadith is also narrated from the path of Sahl ibn Sa'd. Then this wording: "was brought," I usually remember that this is cited as evidence by those who say: that the one who pours water starts with the most senior of the people. "The Messenger of Allah was brought," so I say this is incorrect reasoning, because in a narration in the Sahih in al-Bukhari:
The Messenger of Allah asked for water and it was brought to him
, I came back here looking for "asked for water," what is there, do you think he did not bring the gift?! Give me Sahl ibn Sa'd so we can see!
The student : Oh God.

The Shaykh: Put a degree sign here in the biography of Sahl ibn Sa'd.
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh:
The Messenger of Allah was brought a cup and he drank from it
, there are several branches starting with the Day of Uhud, when the people fled, immediately after it:
This day I have perfected for you your religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
, then he goes back and says: the Day of Badr, then the Day of Friday, like this, approximately one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, nine starting with the day after:
This day I have perfected for you your religion
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
the verse, then he goes back and says: leads the people, after the day leads the people, and after leads the people he says: the Day of the Promise, then the Day of Sacrifice.
The student: This whole page is all mixed up.

The Shaykh: Ah, then one, two, three, four, five, six, six verses:
The Day We call every group
,
The Day when mankind will stand
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:6]
the day of such and such, today is the Day of Ashura.
