The Method of Prostration of Gratitude and Prostration of Recitation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
How is the prostration of gratitude performed?

Answer:
The prostration of gratitude is like the prostration in prayer, and likewise the prostration of recitation is like the prostration in prayer. Just as you say in the prostration of prayer: "Subhan Rabbi al-A'la" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High), "Subhan Rabbi al-A'la," and you make supplication, so you do in the prostration of recitation and the prostration of gratitude. You praise Allah in the prostration of gratitude for what He has bestowed upon you, saying: "Praise be to Allah for the blessing of such-and-such that He has bestowed upon me, and gratitude is due to Allah." You say: "Subhan Rabbi al-A'la, Subhanaka Allahumma Rabbana wa bihamdika, Allahumma ighfir li" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High; Glory be to You, O our Lord, and praise be to You; O Allah, forgive me), just as you do in the prostration of prayer. However, in addition to this, in the prostration of gratitude, you increase by praising Allah, extolling Him, and thanking Him for the blessings He has given you.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
