Guidance for a woman who did not pray after reaching puberty and then repented

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the questions of the questioner, O His Eminence the Shaykh, Umm Aml from Yanbu says: Menstruation began for her when she was fourteen years old, and from the time menstruation began until she was nineteen years old, she did not pray and did not fast. She says: Now she has repented to Allah, and she has started praying, fasting, and performing many voluntary acts of worship. Please guide her regarding her question: Does she have to make up the fasts and the prayers?

Answer:
Her repentance is sufficient; repentance is sufficient, and praise be to Allah. This is because one who abandons prayer commits disbelief, and repentance is sufficient. She prays after repenting, and praise be to Allah. As for what has passed, the years that have passed are dropped; because when a person embraces Islam, he embraces Islam with the good that preceded him, and he does not make up what was missed.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
