Question:
The first message in this episode is from a listener named Khalifa Mahmoud Jad, an Egyptian national working in Bisha. Our brother says: "I did not start praying until after the age of twenty, so what is required of me for the previous period? May Allah reward you with good."
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
So, my brother, all that is required of you is repentance to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and regret for what you did by leaving it. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) says: [20:82], and leaving the prayer is disbelief. Its remedy is only through repentance. If the man or the woman repents from that, it is sufficient, and there is no making up of missed prayers; because of the saying of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He): [8:38] and His saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Riyad as-Salihin 710.
So, thank Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) for the guidance, and ask Him for steadfastness. Regret the shortcoming of the past, commit to sincere repentance, and increase in good deeds and righteous work. Be glad of good and a good outcome. We ask Allah for steadfastness in the truth for us and for you. Yes.

But indeed, I am the Perpetual Forgiver of whoever repents and believes and does righteousness and then continues in guidance.
وَإِنِّي لَغَفَّارٌ لِمَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا ثُمَّ اهْتَدَىSay to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what has previously occurred will be forgiven for them
قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ(embracing) Islam wipes out all that has gone before it (previous misdeeds)
