When does the count of the first day for a newborn begin?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner asks: When does the count of the seventh day begin? In other words: Is the day counted if the birth occurred before dawn, or after dawn? The same applies to the waiting period after death and the waiting period after divorce.

Answer:
The day on which the birth occurred is counted. If the child is born on the morning of Monday, or in the afternoon, or at midday, that day is counted as the first day. If the birth occurs at night, on the night of Monday, that day is counted; it is Monday, the day on which the child was born during its night. When the seventh day arrives, the child is named and the 'aqiqah is slaughtered.
The point is that the first day, the day of birth, is counted, even if it is in the afternoon; that is the first day.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
