Ruling on taking something out of a pocket during prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on taking keys, light objects, or other things out of a pocket during prayer?

Answer:
This is idle behavior. One should leave it alone; it is prescribed to leave it alone, except out of need, such as if someone asks him for a key, and he takes it out to give it to the requester from his household, or something similar. If the need calls for it and it is a small matter, there is no harm. However, idle behavior is disliked.
But if, for example, he is praying and they ask him for a key, so he puts his hand in and takes the key out for them, or takes something from his pocket and throws it to them, that does not harm him. This is as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to open the door for 'A'ishah (peace and blessings be upon him), and as mentioned earlier regarding the eclipse prayer, when he saw Paradise, when Paradise was shown to him, and then he delayed when Hellfire was shown to him, and as he prayed on the pulpit, then descended and prostrated at the base of the pulpit. So light matters are permissible, yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
