Question:
In the second question, the questioner, Umm Khalid from al-Bahah, says: Your Eminence, during prostration and after the glorification, I make incidental supplications, meaning: from life, such as asking for forgiveness for myself and my parents, or that He preserve for me...
The Shaykh: Repeat, repeat.
The presenter: The questioner says: During prostration and after the glorification, I make incidental supplications, meaning: from life, such as asking for forgiveness for myself and my parents, or that He preserve my children... and so on. Does this invalidate the prayer, because it is speech outside the original prayer?
Answer:
It is all good. Supplication in prostration is good. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Riyad as-Salihin 1427 meaning: so it is fitting that your supplications be answered. And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan Abi Dawud 875Sahih (Al-Albani) This encompasses supplication for this world and supplication for the Hereafter. And he used to say in his prostration (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih Muslim 483, and he used to say in his bowing and prostration: Sahih al-Bukhari 4293.
So if a person supplicates in prostration regarding matters of the Hereafter and this world, there is nothing wrong with it. O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me. O Allah, rectify my offspring. O Allah, rectify my spouse. O Allah, forgive my parents. O Allah, provide me with lawful sustenance... and the like of this. Yes, it is all good in prostration. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you, Your Eminence.

Glorify your Lord in Ruku' (bowing posture) and exert yourself in supplication in prostration. Thus your supplications are liable to be accepted.

اللهم اغفر لي ذنبي كله دقه وجله، وأوله وآخره، وعلانيته وسرهSubhanaka Allahumma Rabbanã wa bihamdika, Allãhumma ighfirli
