Does touching a female patient invalidate a doctor's ablution?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If you are in a state of ritual purity and the situation requires examining a female patient, does this invalidate the ablution?

Answer:
No, it does not invalidate the ablution. Some scholars say: if he touches her with desire, his ablution is invalidated, but the correct view is that the ablution is not invalidated; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed some of his wives and then prayed without performing ablution. As for the saying of Allah the Exalted:
or you have contacted womenأَوْ لَامَسْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ
[Surat al-Nisa: 43], the intended meaning is sexual intercourse, and in another reading:
or you touchأو لمستم
, this is an allusion to sexual intercourse. As for if it is assumed that he touched part of her body and took pleasure in it, the ablution is not invalidated, except if he touches the private parts, in which case the ablution is invalidated. If he touches the private parts—the front or the back—of the woman or of himself, the ablution is invalidated. As for if he touches anything else: touching her head, or her face, or her hand, or her leg; then the ablution is not invalidated by this touching, except if something comes out of him. If pre-seminal fluid comes out of him, the ablution is invalidated, or if semen comes out, the full ritual bath becomes obligatory.
As for mere touching without anything coming out: no pre-seminal fluid comes out, no semen comes out, and he did not touch the private parts; then this does not invalidate the ablution. But she must be cautious, he must be cautious if he feels this, he must be cautious; to protect him from the evil of this trial. It is not permissible for him to be alone with her, rather it is obligatory for him to have someone present with him: a woman, or a husband, or a mahram (a relative one may not marry); so that this is further from the trial, and this is what is obligatory.
