What is the ruling on gifting a translation of the Qur'an to a non-Muslim?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible to gift the Qur'an or the mushaf translated into English to some non-Muslim doctors for the purpose of da'wah?

Answer:
First: May Allah love you for the sake of which you loved us, and we ask Allah to make us and you among those who love one another for His majesty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Seven will be shaded by Allah in His shade on a day when there is no shade except His: a just imam, a young man who grew up in the worship of Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosques, two men who loved one another for the sake of Allah, they met for that and parted for that, a man whom a woman of high status and beauty invited – meaning: to zina – and he said: I fear Allah, a man who gave charity and concealed it, so that his left hand does not know what his right hand spends, and a man who remembered Allah in seclusion – meaning: no one was with him – and his eyes overflowed.
meaning: weeping out of fear of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah would say on the Day of Resurrection: Where are those who have mutual love for My Glory's sake? Today I shall shelter them in My shadow when there is no other shadow but the shadow of Mine.
Sahih Muslim 2566
, we ask Allah to make us and you among them.
As for the mushaf itself, not translated, no. The Prophet forbade taking the Qur'an to the land of the enemy. He said:
lest their hands touch itلئلا تناله أيديهم
. But if a tafsir or a translation is given, there is no harm in the translation and tafsir. So if the translated Qur'an or a tafsir of the Qur'an, which includes the Qur'an, is given, there is no harm. But the bare Qur'an is not given.
