The man who does not guard the honor of his family is the *diwth*, and the warning given is that he will not enter Paradise and will not even smell its fragrance

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner: Munir, I came from Morocco.

The Shaykh : Welcome.

The questioner : Welcome.

The Shaykh : How are you?

The questioner: How is your health, O Shaykh?!

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, I am well.

The questioner: Praise be to Allah and thanks.

The Shaykh: Praise be to Allah always.

The questioner: I have previously called Your Eminence many times!

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: The last time was yesterday, which was Monday.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner: And I asked you a question: about the one who slaughters on the rows and eats from that sacrifice, while at the same time he considers it lawful to eat.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: And he permitted his wife to display her adornment, so when Your Eminence answered, you said: that if a man is pleased with his family displaying their adornment, he falls under the hadith in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
They are clothed yet naked, their heads like the humps of camels. Cursing them, for they are cursed. They will not find its fragrance, and its fragrance is found from a distance of so much and so much.
.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Then this man does not enter Paradise. If this man does not enter Paradise and does not even smell its fragrance, how does his prayer prevent him from being declared a disbeliever?! I ask for further clarification on this issue, and may Allah reward you with the best reward, and thank you.

The Shaykh: There are many hadiths like this one, such as His saying (peace be upon him):
The beater of false tales would never enter heaven. لا يدخل الجنة قتَّات
Sahih Muslim 105b
; meaning: a talebearer. The scholars interpret this in one of two ways: First, he does not enter Paradise at all, if he considers lawful what Allah has forbidden. The other and final meaning is: he does not enter Paradise with the foremost of the first [to enter], who do not find the heat of the Fire and its punishment, but rather he enters the Fire and is punished according to what he deserves, unless Allah forgives him, in which case he enters Paradise. On this basis, all hadiths of warning regarding the commission of any sin are interpreted. If you understand this interpretation, you then understand the answer regarding the *diwth* who does not guard the honor of his family and his daughters, and likewise the women who display their adornment who do not enter Paradise and do not find its fragrance. That is, if they consider it lawful, the hadith is an allusion to eternal abode in the Fire, may Allah protect us from that. And if they do not consider it lawful, and they acknowledge their sin at least among themselves and with their Lord, then they are sinful, open sinners, and criminals, who will be punished with what they deserve of punishment, unless Allah forgives them. This is the answer.

The questioner: May Allah reward you with good, O honorable Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And beware of that.
