What does one do if he eats garlic and onions out of necessity?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Congregational prayer is obligatory, so what does one do if he eats garlic and onions out of necessity?

Answer:
He prays alone; he does not pray with the congregation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade attending the congregation [in this state] and ordered that he be taken out of the mosque.
If he needs them, he should eat them at times far removed from prayer times, or take something that removes their odor. If the odor remains with him, he should pray at home; that is an excuse for him.
