Ruling on a woman in the waiting period going out for her needs and speaking with men

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A woman married off her daughter, and the wedding will take place immediately after the mourning period. Is it permissible for the mother to go out with her daughter for the sake of the wedding preparations?

Answer:
For a need that contradicts the restriction, this is one of those needs. I say: she goes out without adornment. This is a need, just as she might buy something for herself, she buys something for her daughter.
Q: Is it permissible for her to speak with non-mahram men from behind a veil?
The Shaykh: Even without a veil. The women used to speak with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and with the Companions without a veil, but she covers her face and covers her body, even if she is not inside a room.
Q: It is not required that he be the one seeing her?
The Shaykh: No, it is not necessary. She covers herself, she veils herself with clothing, the head covering, and other things, and she speaks. She asks the scholar about her needs, and she stands in the court, but she is covered.
