Reading from Ibn Aqil’s commentary (may Allah have mercy on him), with the Shaykh’s annotations: " .

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Let us look at the commentary, O Uthman.
The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Warning is alerting the addressee to a matter from which he must guard himself. If it is with 'iyyaka' and its cognates, which are 'iyyaka,' 'iyyakuma,' 'iyyakum,' and 'iyyakunna,' then it is obligatory to imply the governing verb, whether there is conjunction or not. An example with conjunction is 'iyyaka wa al-sharr' (beware of evil), where 'iyyaka' is in the accusative case by an implied verb, and the implied meaning is 'I warn you.' An example without conjunction is 'iyyaka an taf'ala kaza' (beware of doing such-and-such), meaning 'I warn you from doing such-and-such. And if it is with something other than 'iyyaka'..."

The Shaykh : All right, "iyyaka an taf'ala kaza" (beware of doing such-and-such), the implied meaning is like what came before, which is what?
The student: I warn you.

The Shaykh : I warn you from doing such-and-such, but the pronoun is separated because the governing verb is deleted, as we do not find a governing verb attached to it.
