Explanation of the saying of Ibn Malik (may Allah have mercy on him): "Make tanwin after fath an alif *** in waqf, and after other than fath"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The author says:
"Make tanwin after fath an alif"
Tanwin is the object placed before the verb "make," meaning: the tanwin that comes after fath, i.e., after the fath, make it an alif. So you would say, "I saw Zayd" here?
The student: Zayd.

The Shaykh : "I saw Zayd" when you stop, what do you say? "I saw Zayd" is only according to the language of Rabi'ah; rather, you say "I saw Zayd." He said:
"In waqf, and after other than fath, delete it"
"After" is a deleted word; "delete" is the command, meaning: and the tanwin that is after other than fath, which is damm and kasr, delete it. Delete the tanwin. If you say, "I passed by Zayd," we say that is an error. The correct way to say it is?
The student: By Zayd.

The Shaykh : "I passed by Zayd," because Ibn Malik says: "Delete it". Is "delete" an imperative verb?
The student: For obligation.

The Shaykh : For obligation, unless evidence indicates otherwise. Yes, just as you say, "I saw Zayd..."
"And delete, in waqf, in other than necessity, *** the connection of other than fath in concealment"
And what else?
"And it resembled, then, a tanwin that was made accusative, *** so in waqf, its nun was turned into an alif"
We read the explanation first, ...
The reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy.
