Sorcery of the wife against the husband
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz to the honorable... Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings, and after: Your letter dated (without date) reached you with Allah's guidance, and what it contained regarding the information about what befell you when you intended to have intercourse with your new wife, and your going to the shaykh and what he ruled for you, and what the old wife did which was the cause of preventing you from having intercourse with your new wife, and your question about the ruling in that was known.
A: If the old wife has admitted to this act, or it has been established against her by evidence, then she has committed a great evil, indeed disbelief and misguidance; because her act is the forbidden sorcery, and the sorcerer is a disbeliever, as Allah the Exalted said: [Surat al-Baqarah: 102].
So this noble verse indicates that sorcery is disbelief, and that the sorcerer is a disbeliever, and that the sorcerers learn what harms them and does not benefit them, and that among their objectives is separating a man from his wife, and that they have no portion with Allah on the Day of Resurrection - meaning they have no share in salvation - and in the authentic hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: It was said: What are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Sunan Abi Dawud 2874Sahih (Al-Albani).
As for the shaykh who gave you the medicine, it appears that he is a sorcerer like the woman; because only sorcerers are aware of the acts of sorcery, and he is also one of the diviners and fortune-tellers known for claiming the unseen in many matters, and it is obligatory for the Muslim to beware of them and not to believe them in what they claim of the unseen, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 2230 narrated by Muslim in his Sahih, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: Sunan al-Bayhaqi 15:740 So it is obligatory for you to repent and regret what has happened from you, and to inform the head of the committee and the head of the court about the aforementioned shaykh and your old wife so that the court and the committee do what deters them, and if such an incident befalls you, ask the scholars of the Shari'ah so that they inform you of the Shari'ah treatment, and if what befell you has been removed, then praise be to Allah, otherwise inform us so that we may inform you of the Shari'ah treatment. May Allah grant us and you understanding in the religion and steadfastness upon it and safety from what contradicts it, for He is Generous and Bountiful. And peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
A: If the old wife has admitted to this act, or it has been established against her by evidence, then she has committed a great evil, indeed disbelief and misguidance; because her act is the forbidden sorcery, and the sorcerer is a disbeliever, as Allah the Exalted said:
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.

Avoid the seven destructive sins
اجتنبوا السبع الموبقاتTo assign partner to Allah, magic, to kill a soul (man) which is prohibited by Allah except for which is due, to take usury, to consume the property of an orphan, to retreat on the day of the battle, and to slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing.
الشرك بالله، والسحر، وقتل النفس التي حرم الله إلا بالحق، وأكل الربا، وأكل مال اليتيم، والتولي يوم الزحف، وقذف المحصنات الغافلات المؤمناتAs for the shaykh who gave you the medicine, it appears that he is a sorcerer like the woman; because only sorcerers are aware of the acts of sorcery, and he is also one of the diviners and fortune-tellers known for claiming the unseen in many matters, and it is obligatory for the Muslim to beware of them and not to believe them in what they claim of the unseen, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
