You also ask and say: Allah, Glorious is His Majesty, said:
Indeed, we offered the Trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, and they declined to bear it and feared it; but man [undertook to] bear it. Indeed, he was unjust and ignorant.
[Al-Ahzab: 72]. What is the meaning of the trust in this noble verse?
Answer: The trust is explained by two things: First, the obligations of Allah and the rights of Allah, such as prayer, fasting, jihad, and the like. It is called a trust. Likewise, being held accountable for what Allah has forbidden His servants to do, and refraining from it, is a trust. The second thing is the needs of people and the rights of people, such as deposits, loans, and pledges. These are also called a trust. So Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, offered the trust to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains to bear this trust, but they were afraid of it and shrank from it, and the one who is accountable among the children of Adam bore it.
So it is obligatory for the accountable children of Adam to take care of this trust and to fear Allah in it. They should perform the obligations of Allah as Allah has prescribed, and avoid the prohibitions of Allah out of reverence for Him and fear of Him . They should fulfill the rights of the servants, such as debts, pledges, loans, and deposits. They must fulfill the right that is upon them and beware of the anger of Allah , for betrayal brings about the anger of Allah, and deliberate negligence brings about the anger of Allah.
So it is obligatory to perform the obligation as Allah has prescribed, to leave the prohibitions as Allah has prescribed, and to fulfill the rights of the servants without diminishing them, whether it is a deposit, a pledge, or something else. Yes.
