The ruling on the mahram status of the husband's grandfather with respect to the wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first message in tonight's session came from listener (H. G.) from the Kingdom. She says in her message: I am trying to implement the teachings of our noble religion, including prayer, fasting, and maintaining hijab in front of non-mahrams. However, I uncover my face, hands, and what is usually exposed to mahrams in front of my husband's grandfather. Is he considered one of them? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for the answer: May Allah reward you for your concern for the religion and your diligence in preserving what Allah has made obligatory upon you.
As for the question regarding the husband's grandfather, there is no doubt that he is a mahram. The husband's grandfather, whether the father of his father or the father of his mother, all of them are mahrams. So there is nothing wrong with you uncovering for him, such as the face and hands and the like. All of this carries no blame, just as with other mahrams, such as your brother, your paternal uncle, and the like. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
