The ruling on one who passes the miqat without the intention of Hajj, then intends it afterwards

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question in the letter from the Sudanese brothers residing in the Kingdom says: I intended to go to meet my mother who is coming from outside the Kingdom for Hajj. Is it permissible for me to intend to perform the obligatory pilgrimage with her, even though my first intention was to meet my mother and not to perform the obligatory pilgrimage? Please inform us, may Allah reward you.
Answer: If a person heads to Jeddah, for example, with the intention of meeting his mother or other pilgrims and greeting them, and he did not intend Hajj or 'Umrah or anything else, and then he decides to intend Hajj with her and enter the state of ihram from Jeddah, for example, there is no blame on him for that; because he did not intend it except in Jeddah. However, if he intended Hajj before coming to Jeddah and intended 'Umrah, he must enter the state of ihram at the miqat of his country. If his country is on the route of Madinah, he enters ihram from Madinah; if on the coastal route, he enters ihram from al-Juhfah or Rabigh; if on the route of Ta'if, he enters ihram from the miqat of Ta'if, and so on. ...... ..... Jeddah, and he does not want Hajj or 'Umrah, but rather came to meet some of the arriving pilgrims, and then he decides to enter the state of ihram, there is nothing wrong with entering ihram in Jeddah, and there is no blame on him. Yes.
