The Ruling on Cursing the Oppressor and Knowing That the Supplication Has Been Answered

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence, may Allah bless you. We begin this session with a question from the questioner Ibrahim Hamed from Riyadh. He asks: How does a Muslim know that his supplication against the oppressor has been answered? I ask you to provide us with information.
Answer: In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance.
As for what follows: It is better not to supplicate against the oppressor, but rather to ask Allah for his guidance, that He turn him back to the right path, and that He give him his right. If he does supplicate against him, there is no blame on him to the extent of his oppression. If he sees that he has been afflicted by what he supplicated for, this is a sign that his supplication has been answered. If he supplicates against him, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) may afflict him in his child, in his wealth, or in his car. It becomes clear to him when an accident or accidents occur. However, we advise him in such a case not to supplicate against the oppressor, but to ask Allah for his guidance and to ask his Lord that Allah compensate him for what he was wronged, and that Allah guide the oppressor until he gives him his right. This is because supplicating against him is a type of victory, a type of retribution, a type of retaliation. Therefore, it is better not to supplicate against him, but to supplicate for his guidance, that Allah turn him back to the right path, and that Allah guide him until he returns his right to him.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
