The ruling on a man whose wife does not pray and has bad character

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
This is a message we received from a questioner from one of the police stations. He says in his message: I inform you that I married a woman who does not pray, so I complained about her to her guardian, but he did not fulfill his duty. When she did not pray, I issued a divorce pronouncement for her. After that, she said: I will pray. So I took her back, and she was praying but did not know how to pray properly. I said: I will teach you how to pray, but she refused. She began to treat me badly. I have four children from her, and she is pregnant. She goes to her family, and there are foreigners there in front of whom she uncovers her face. She does not restrain herself and goes out of the house without permission. Her condition has become bad because of this woman's actions, so I boycotted her. That only increased her stubbornness. I hope you will inform me what I should do. May Allah reward you with good.
Answer: As long as she has returned to her bad state, which is not praying, and with this she is stubborn with you and disobedient, and does not care, and does not cover herself, then this is a bad woman. You must separate from her. Leaving off prayer is major shirk (associating partners with Allah) according to the correct opinion of the scholars.
So you must leave her, and Allah will replace her with something better for you, for whoever leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better. And Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا ۝ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لا يَحْتَسِبُ
[Al-Talaq: 2, 3] And He says :
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
[Al-Talaq: 4] So a woman who does not pray is in a state of great evil; because leaving the prayer is major shirk (associating partners with Allah) for both men and women. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The covenant that distinguishes between us and them is prayer; so whoever leaves it, he has committed Kufr.العهد الذي بيننا وبينهم الصلاة فمن تركها فقد كفر
Sunan Ibn Majah 1079Sahih (Darussalam)
This is an authentic hadith narrated by Imam Ahmad and the people of the Sunan with a sound chain, and the evidence in this matter is abundant, all indicating that leaving the prayer is disbelief, whether it is from a man or a woman.
So you must separate from her and stay away from her, and you are more entitled to your children. If she repents with a sincere repentance, then you can return to her. One divorce pronouncement has passed for her, and you can take her back after her sincere repentance is established for you. And Allah is the Helper. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
