What is the evidence for the purity of blood?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : This is correct, especially since regarding the blood of humans and animals, there are texts in the Sunnah that prohibit claiming it is impure. Perhaps you remember, on this occasion, the hadith of Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with them both), narrated in "Musnad al-Imam Ahmad," "Sunan al-Daraqutni," "al-Bayhaqi," and others, including "al-Mustadrak" by al-Hakim. He said:
We campaigned with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in a campaign where we captured a woman from among the polytheists, and her husband was absent. When he came and was informed of the news, he swore that he would not enter the village until he took revenge on the companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Do you remember the hadith?

The questioner : No, by Allah, I do not remember it.

The Shaykh : So I will say it, even if briefly, even if I take up your time . The man was following the tracks of the Companions, and evening had caught up with them in a valley, so they descended into it. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his companions: مَن يكلَؤُنا الليلة ؟ Who will guard us tonight?. Two men from the Ansar stood up, one from the Aws and the other from the Khazraj, and they said: "We are here, O Messenger of Allah." He said to them: كونا على فَمِ الشِّعب Be at the mouth of the pass.. They agreed to take turns guarding. One of them lay down on his side and slept, then the other stood up to guard. Then it occurred to him to add to his guarding that he would pray in that night. So he stood upright praying, and the polytheist was watching the situation, hiding behind a rock. He took a spear from its sheath and aimed it at him. Jabir says: "He placed it in his leg." And so, when he saw his target still standing upright, he shot him with the second and third spear, and blood was gushing from him; until he prayed two rak'ahs. He says: "Either he finished the prayer and woke his companion, or his companion woke up. When he saw what had happened to his companion and was shocked by the matter, he asked him about the news. He said: 'I was in a surah I was reciting, and by Him in whose hand is my soul, had I not feared that I would neglect the pass that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had placed me to guard, my soul would have been in it.'"
The Shaykh : The point of the hadith is that the man continued in the prayer, so we derive from it two very important rulings. The first is that blood is pure, because we cannot imagine that this blood was like a fountain, meaning not a single drop of it touched his body. The other benefit is that blood does not invalidate the wudu'. Therefore, equating this blood with menstrual blood is not only a weak analogy, but it is an analogy that contradicts the text and goes against the text.
