Ruling on one who broke her fast due to a valid legal excuse, fed the poor, and did not make up the fasts

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A woman did not know that a nursing mother or a woman with post-natal bleeding is required to make up the days she missed in Ramadan. Some people told her that she had to feed one poor person for every day she missed, and she did so. Does this feeding suffice, or must she make up the days she missed? And does the feeding she provided suffice, or must she feed again? It is known that many years have passed since this feeding.
Answer: She must make up the fasts. If a pregnant woman, a nursing mother, or a sick woman breaks her fast, she must make it up afterwards. The sick woman makes it up when she recovers, the pregnant woman makes it up when she gives birth and is able to make up the fasts afterwards, and the nursing mother does the same. All of them must make up the fasts, and feeding the poor does not suffice for them. If the delay in making up the fasts occurs without an excuse, then both making up the fasts and feeding the poor are obligatory. However, if the delay is due to an excuse, such as pregnancy, or because nursing prevents her from fasting, or because of illness, then feeding the poor is not obligatory, but only making up the fasts is required. This is because she is excused for the delay. Therefore, she owes only the making up of the fasts when the sick woman recovers, the nursing mother weans her child or becomes strong enough to fast even if she has not weaned, and the pregnant woman gives birth and becomes strong enough to make up the fasts. Each of them makes up the fasts, and there is no feeding required of her because she is excused. But if she delays making up the fasts without an excuse, then she must both make up the fasts and feed the poor. The feeding she has already given suffices for the feeding that is obligatory upon her, because she gave it believing that this was her duty based on the fatwa of some people. It suffices for the feeding required of her due to her delay in making up the fasts, as she gave the feeding on account of her delay and her breaking of the fast.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
