She fasted in some years and did not make up the missed days

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 16464 )
Q: My mother is approximately sixty years old. She married at the age of seventeen. She did not fast during the first four years after fasting became obligatory upon her . She did not fast when she was (16, 17, 18, and 19 years old). At age 16, she definitely did not fast for two days, and she does not know whether she fasted the rest of the month or did not fast, though it is most likely that she did not fast for the remainder. At age 17, she did not fast for a full month. At age 18, she did not fast for 24 days and fasted the first six days due to breastfeeding. At age 19, she did not fast for a full month. Question: What is obligatory for her to do now? Note that she has begun making up the fasts from the past, starting with the month of Ramadan when she was 19, seventeen days ago. If there is charity to be given, should she give charity to her orphaned children? May Allah reward you with good.
A: It is obligatory for your mother to make up the number of days she did not fast from Ramadan, and to feed one poor person for each day she makes up, the amount being half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of the local staple food, such as rice, dates, wheat, or the like, if she is able to provide the food. However, if she delayed making up the fasts for a valid excuse, then she does not have to feed anyone; she only has to make up the fasts. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
