Question:
The female listener (F. A. A.) from al-Madinah al-Munawwarah sent a message containing several questions, one of which reads:
Are there supplications recited when reading the Qur'an for the sake of memorization?
Answer:
We are not aware of anything specific for the sake of memorization, but one asks his Lord and seeks help from Allah. He asks his Lord that Allah grant him success in memorization, and he turns to Him at the times of response, with sincerity. And Allah will help him , such as the times like the end of the night, like the middle of the night, like the end of the prayer, like prostration in the prayer, like between the adhan and the iqamah. He says: “O my Lord, preserve for me Your Book. O my Lord, help me to memorize Your Book.” He asks and is sincere in his asking, and we ask Allah to make his matter easy.
The presenter: O Allah, amen. May Allah reward you with good.
