Ruling on a woman placing her hair on one side
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We begin with a message from a listener (B. F. M). He says in his message: Is there anything wrong with placing the hair in one direction, such as toward the back of the neck, or is it permissible?
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to the Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon His slave, messenger, intimate friend, and trustee of His revelation, our Prophet and our Imam Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and whoever follows his guidance. As for what follows:
It has been mentioned that we know of nothing regarding this if a woman places her hair behind her back or on one side of her head; there is no harm in that. This is a matter for women, and we know of no specific Sunnah regarding it. However, the Sunnah for the deceased is to part the head into three sections. If a deceased person has hair, it is made into three sections.
As for the living person, he may do as he wishes, making it one section behind him, or two sections on his right and left. There is no harm, and the woman and the man are the same in this. Yes.
