The ruling on one who intentionally breaks his fast in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener: (M. M.) from As-Sa'if, he sent a question asking: What is the ruling on a person who broke his fast in Ramadan without a valid legal excuse, and he is approximately seventeen years old, and he has no excuse as I said, so what should he do? And is it obligatory for him to make up the fast?

Answer:
Yes, it is obligatory for him to make up the fast, and he must repent to Allah for his negligence and breaking of the fast, and he must make up the fast. As for what was narrated from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Whoever breaks the fast on a day of Ramadan without an excuse, making up the fast for the rest of his life will not suffice for him, even if he fasts it.من أفطر يومًا من رمضان بغير عذر لم يقض عنه صيام الدهر وإن صامه
it is a weak and confused hadith according to the scholars, and it is not authentic.
The correct view is that it is obligatory for him to make up the fast, and that is sufficient for him along with repentance, if he makes it up before the next Ramadan. However, if he delays until another Ramadan has passed, then in addition to making up the fast, he must feed one poor person for every day, and he must repent to Allah, with sincere and truthful repentance, regret, and a firm resolve not to return to that. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
