Explaining what is obligatory upon one who intentionally breaks his fast during the day in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q314: The questioner says: About eight years ago, I broke my fast for two days in Ramadan intentionally and without an excuse, and until now I have not made up these two days, nor have I paid expiation for them. What is obligatory for me to do?
A314: You have erred in breaking your fast for a day in Ramadan without a valid legal excuse. It is not permissible for a Muslim who believes in Allah and the Last Day to break his fast in the month of Ramadan without a valid legal excuse; because fasting in Ramadan is one of the pillars of Islam, and being lax in it, or breaking the fast without a valid legal excuse, is evidence of weak faith, or deficient faith. You must repent to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
You have three matters to do in this issue: The first matter: sincere repentance to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) from this great sin. The second matter: that you make up these two days; hasten to make them up and clear your conscience of this great obligation in which you were lax. And the third matter: since another Ramadan or more than one Ramadan has passed over you, and you did not fast these two days and did not make them up, it is obligatory for you to feed one poor person for every day.
