How to Pray for an Elderly Bedridden Man Suffering from Urinary Incontinence

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He also asks and says: There is a man afflicted with urinary incontinence, and he is an elderly man. Most of the time, and in the majority of cases, his bed is not clean, and he cannot control himself. He also cannot get up from his bed easily. Is it permissible for him to pray in this condition?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Allah the Exalted says:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun:16] So he must perform wudu for every prayer, and protect himself with a cloth or the like over his private parts, and wash what has affected his body and his clothes, or his wife or his children wash it for him, and that suffices him. For every prayer he performs wudu. Even if something comes out of him after that within the time, he performs wudu for the Zuhr prayer, prays, and reads the Qur'an from the mushaf, there is no harm, until the time for 'Asr comes. When the time for 'Asr comes, he repeats the wudu again, if something has come out of him, and so for Maghrib, and so for 'Isha', and so for Fajr.
And the bed is purified for him, the covering is changed, it is pure, he prays on it for every prayer. If the covering has been affected by urine, it is delayed, but it is replaced, or what has affected it is washed in every time. And if something comes out of him while he is praying, it does not harm him, like the woman with irregular bleeding whose blood flows constantly
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun:16] but within the time. If the time passes, he repeats the wudu and repeats it, and washes what has affected his clothes, or changes them, and so on.
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[Al-Taghabun:16] Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
