Question:
The questioner says: I am constantly thinking about death, and death haunts me at many times, and I have wished that this desire would be fulfilled; because of the oppression I suffer from my family and the atmosphere around me, so what do you advise me? O honorable Shaykh.
Answer:
We advise you to be patient and to ask Allah for well-being, asking Allah for well-being from all evil, you ask Allah for well-being from all evil along with patience, and the believer is in great good, Allah the Mighty and Majestic says:[Al-Baqarah 2:155-156] Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy, and those are the ones who are the guided [al-Baqarah:155-157], so patience is the sound path, so Allah the Mighty and Majestic says: [al-Zumar:10], so you must be patient and seek reward, and in the hadith: Sahih Muslim 918b.
So if one of your relatives is sent against you: a father or a mother or other than them; then be patient and seek reward, and deal with matters with wisdom, deal with them by what can be done to ward off harm from yourself by what Allah has permitted, and what you are unable to do, then ask Allah for well-being, and ask Allah for guidance for them, and be patient and seek reward, and do not seek death, and do not ask for death. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you, Your Eminence.

(155) And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, (156) Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return."
Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."
إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍIf any servant (of Allah) who suffers a calamity says:" We belong to Allah and to Him shall we return; O Allah, reward me for my affliction and give me something better than it in exchange for it," ' Allah will give him reward for affliction, and would give him something better than it in exchange.
