Ruling on Hanging Verses on Walls and Writing Them on Ornaments

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You are asking Your Eminence about the ruling on hanging Qur'anic verses on walls, or what is written on watches, ornaments, and the like?

Answer:
As for hanging verses in offices and sitting rooms, there is no blame on you, provided it is for the purpose of reading and benefiting from them, and for the sake of benefit. There is nothing wrong with them, or with hanging hadiths, or good words, or good poetry. There is nothing wrong with that.
As for putting them on a watch, this is an error; because it may be disrespected, it may be thrown in a place that is not appropriate. So it should not be on a watch, nor on jewelry, neither the remembrance of Allah nor verses, because they may be thrown in a manner that results in disrespect. But ... hung on the wall, in the office, or in the sitting room, and one may be admonished by hadiths, or verses, or good poetry, there is nothing wrong with them.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
