The Ruling on Claiming Knowledge of Some of the Unseen
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The listener Muhammad Ahmad Ali Tahir from the al-Masfa'ah district of Jeddah sent a message saying: I heard that there is a child who has eyes so sharp they are equivalent to X-rays. The scholars tested him and brought him a pregnant woman, and he said she was carrying twins, and this was confirmed. And Allah says in Surat Luqman: [Luqman:34]. What is requested is that you please clarify this? May Allah reward you a thousand times for us.
Answer:
As for the validity of the existence of this child, that is a matter for the doctors and those with expertise in the vision the questioner mentioned. As for the child knowing that the pregnancy is with twins, that is a matter for consideration, no matter what the case is and no matter what is claimed about the sharpness of his vision. However, on the assumption that he did find this out, some doctors may come to know this through new methods and new means; because this is not from the knowledge of the unseen once the pregnancy exists in the womb and once the fetus has formed in the womb, it is not from the knowledge of the unseen. The angel may come to know this by the command of Allah , for Allah the Exalted commands the angel to create it male or female, complete in formation or incomplete in formation, and all of this is written as the authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) state.
So in that case, it has become known to the angel in charge of the womb, and his knowledge is not exclusive to Allah . It may be known through the means, signs, and indicators that experts in pregnancy and doctors have tested. The only thing that no one knows except Allah alone is what is before that, before the child is created while it is still a drop, a clot, and a lump, not yet created. This is what Allah makes exclusive to His knowledge , because at that time the angel has not come to know anything. But after the angel comes to know the formation, it is then a shared matter, and not from the exclusive attributes of Allah , after the angel has been informed of what he was informed of by Allah and the angel has executed what Allah said , and he is an angel in charge of wombs as the reports from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) state. So there is no problem in this, and praise be to Allah. Yes.

Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.
